Our Mission :
- Our mission is to help the Castle Point Neighborhood by establishing a steady stream of resources inside the boundaries of the neighborhood.
- To ignite a sense of hope
GOALS:
- Develop a beautiful neighborhood free of trash.
- Reduce incidents of crime. Adopt safety measures
- Create a healthy environment through collaborative, comprehensive planning.
- Be a neighborhood with stiff policies and practices.
- Improve neighborhood stabilization by creative jobs, informed residents, and maintain housing stock.
EXAMPLE: Castle Point Community Garden
- The goal of the Castle Point Community Garden is to put in seeds, give time, and harvest fresh vegetables, fruit, and herbs. A sweat equity effort!
- The Castle Point Community Garden is on a mission to promote healthy eating and exercise while having fun.
- This past 2021 season, the community garden harvested approx. 300 lbs. (peppers, tomatoes, beets, okra, greens, kale, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplants.
